🚀Great startups can start anywhere. But growing beyond borders takes more than ambition.
Access to international markets, capital, expertise, and the right networks can make all the difference. And behind these opportunities are the people and organisations working to connect founders with the resources they need to grow.
Across Romania, accelerators, incubators, investors, and startup communities are building the foundations for entrepreneurial growth. The next challenge is turning these local strengths into opportunities that extend beyond national borders.
That's where The Open Ecosystem comes in.
On October 29, ROStartup Ecosystem Association brings together founders, investors, community leaders, and startup ecosystem builders in Timișoara for a conversation about community building, ecosystem growth, and the value of international connections.
Through perspectives from Romania and beyond, we'll explore what makes startup communities thrive, how collaboration between ecosystem organisations creates opportunities for founders, and what we can learn from different approaches to building and growing startup ecosystems.
🎤 Joining the conversation
Łukasz Marć – Senior Economist, Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation Global Practice, World Bank
With experience supporting innovation, competitiveness, and startup ecosystem development in Romania and internationally, Łukasz brings valuable insights into what makes entrepreneurial ecosystems more effective, how support structures can better serve founders, and what Romania can learn from international experience.
Nedeljko Milosavljević - Co Director Labena Ventures
Bringing experience from the regional startup and investment landscape, Nedeljko will contribute to the conversation on connecting communities and strengthening collaboration across ecosystems.
