After our last article about why our members chose this coworking space for a better work-life balance, we come back with another piece about the companies we host and why they picked this space. Our spaces are home to over 10 different companies, including Deloitte., enovatika, Pentalog, servoy, and SII. These organizations selected a range of setups, from private offices to open-space desks, depending on their team size and needs.
For today’s article we talked to our good friend Marius from Deloiite. He is an experienced advanced business application programming technical consultant with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and services industry. Skilled in SAP ERP and SAP Products (on premise and on cloud). Strong information technology professional graduated from Universitatea „Transilvania” din Brașov.
Why did you choose to bring your team to Cowork Timisoara?
Marius: We looked for several places where we could rent offices. Out of all the options, this one was voted by colleagues. Why this and not others? Because it's in an easy-to-reach area, it was even newly furnished when we came, close to the Mall (The Office), it meets internal standards.
What motivates you to physically come to the office?
Marius: For me personally, socializing, connecting with colleagues, with people. Although I'm both a programmer and an introvert, personally I'm better among others than alone at home working, working, I like to be part of a team, to help. Others come because a communication came from the management to be present at least 2 days a week at the "office", a break from the "kids", the quiet from work, or they had a job in town and it was easier to wait or stay at the office than to go all the way home. I don't know what weight these would have with each colleague, but they are topics discussed, the same question is asked internally.
Do you think companies that operate online would benefit from a coworking space?
Marius: It depends. Those that work 100% online? Maybe not. But I see the advantage of face-to-face time with your teammate, socializing, and overcoming the drudgery of work or everyday life with someone next to you. It can create a connection impossible online, maybe even a deeper relationship than just "colleagues". Those who work hybrid, already have a space, maybe not a coworking space, but a space in which to work and companies that already have a space, only think about a coworking space in limited cases (us for example).
